Worth Matravers, The Square and Compass Pub Fine Art Travel Print

Fine art print of the original painting of The Square and Compass Pub Worth Matravers. Part of the travel print collection by Dorset artist Richard Watkin. Printed on quality 315gsm textured cotton paper available in A4, A3 and A2 sizes which fit 'off the shelf' frames. All the prints are signed by the artist.

What's the story? - Richard had wanted to paint Worth Matravers in the Purbecks for a while. He knew he would feature the Square & Compass a favourite watering hole of ours for a pie and a pint. He was just waiting to find the right car and after extensive research he came across an image of this beauty. A modified MG Q Type, built in 1934 the 750cc engine was capable of speeds up to 120 miles an hour, perfect for exploring the Isle of Purbeck.

Artist Richard Watkin paints the evocative locations and landscapes of Dorset from the beaches and towns of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch to the dramatic Jurassic Coastline and picturesque Purbeck villages. He paints with acrylics in a bold graphical style, his travel print collection evokes a sense of nostalgia, a time when the pace of life was slower and the sun was always shinning!

Free Postage - We say to allow up to 7 working days for delivery but it is usually quicker. Smaller prints are sent in recycled board backed envelopes and wrapped in cellobags that can be put in your recycling bin. A2 prints will be sent wrapped in acid free tissue paper and rolled in a cardboard tube.
