The day we took the photos for this painting was perfect, the light was just right and the river was buzzing with boats and people. Looking at the photos back home Richard decided to focus on the tranquil scene of a yacht moored off The Priory Hotel. The colour focus came from the lush rushes and foliage which is mirrored by the colour of the trees.
