The Lifeguard Station Alum Chine Fine Art Nostalgic Retro Print

Fine art print of the original painting of the Alum Chine RNLI lifeguard station. Part of the nostalgic retro print collection by Dorset artist Richard Watkin. Printed on quality 315gsm textured cotton paper available in A4, A3 and A2 sizes which fit 'off the shelf' frames. All the prints are signed by the artist.

What's the story? - Richard was inspired by the simplicity of the RNLI lifeguard station at Alum Chine beach. The exceptionally clean, sandy beach away from the hustle and bustle of central Bournemouth lends itself to the overall simplicity of the painting allowing the viewer to create their own narrative.

Artist Richard Watkin paints with acrylics in a simple graphical style, his latest nostalgic retro collection demonstrates his love of 1930s and 1940s style and features locations, architecture and retro transport, some real, some imagined creating a stylized, idyllic aesthetic.
