What's the story?
When most of us look at the beach huts in Swanage we see - beach huts! Not Richard, he saw a Piet Mondrian inspired painting. Piet, a Dutch pioneer of abstract art in the 1920’s and 30’s, painted in a simplified abstract style, restricted to the three primary colours and to a grid of black vertical and horizontal lines on a white ground. Rich used a similar palette of primary colours and added the cyclist and dog as a fun element.

What's the Story? - We made a visit to Lyme Regis for our birthdays, although it was November the sun was shining and it was a perfect photo-opportunity kind of day. What's the story?Kimmeridge Bay is a favourite for the Watkin clan, summer holidays are incomplete without a visit to the bay for some fossil hunting and mucking about in the rock pools. This painting was inspired by a photo taken by our son-in-law on one such visit. The ruggedness of the...
