What's the Story? - This original painting of the Solent Scene at Poole Quay is the 2nd in the historic Poole series. In the foreground, the Solent Scene, built in 1974 for Blue Funnel by Bideford Shipbuilders. In the background, almost 100 years old, is the Poole lifting bridge built by Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Company. The bridge opened on 11 March 1927.
