What's the story? - Richard chose this particular motor yacht as he built a Balsa Wood model of it when he was a kid. The design is based on ones found in the USA in the 1920’s and 30’s, used for commuting from the wealthy suburbs of New York into the financial centres of Manhattan. Admittedly you’re unlikely to find one in Mudeford but its striking colours pitted against the dark background give it the nostalgic feel that Rich was after.
Prints and Posters - These are created from Richard's original painting, we print them ourselves using a method known as Giclėe, the paper is 100% cotton with a gentle texture. A4 and A3 prints will arrive cello wrapped with a recycled cardboard backing ready for framing. A2 prints will be send rolled in a cardboard tube. Richard signs all prints.

Giclée Printing - this involves squirting or spraying microscopic dots of pigment based-inks onto high quality art paper (not as messy as it sounds!). The print is colour corrected to attain the closest possible match to the original artwork and will keep its vibrant colours for many years to come.
Paper - we use a natural soft textured bright white matt 315gsm paper for all prints. The paper's bright white base and gentle texture delivers a quality print with a wide colour gamut, it's 100% acid free and accredited by the Fine Art Trade Guild as being of archival quality.
Free delivery on all prints - We send the prints via myHermes or Royal Mail so you will be able to track your order and we will know they have been delivered safely!
What's the story? - Poundbury, near Dorchester, is a bit of a marmite town. As an artist Richard was attracted by the Georgian style architecture and decided to focus his painting on Queen Mother Square with it's impressive facades. The focal point is the cast bronze statue of the late Queen Mother,...
What's the Story? - Richard had a large collection of WW2 aircraft as a boy and the Spitfire was one of his favourites. The MK1 Spitfire featured in the painting was part of the Battle of Britain Flight during the 2018 Bournemouth Air Show. Sadly we weren't there to see...
What's the Story? - The last Jurassic Coast painting (for now!) the historic village of Abbotsbury, this is the landscape of Thomas Hardy with St Catherine's Chapel in splendid isolation high on the hilltop overlooking Chesil Beach and the Isle of Portland. The barrel-vaulted 14th century chapel was built by the monks of...
What's the Story? - This is one of the final paintings for the Jurassic Coast collection. Not many people attempt the arduous walk from either Lulworth Cove or Tyneham to Mupe Bay and Flowers Barrow and we have to confess we didn't make it! Instead Richards inspiration was a photograph by Mark...
