Milton Abbas Fine Art Travel Print

Fine art print of the original painting of Dorchester. Part of the travel print collection by Dorset artist Richard Watkin. Printed on quality 315gsm textured cotton paper available in A4, A3 and A2 sizes which fit 'off the shelf' frames. All the prints are signed by the artist.

What's the Story? - When Richard was living in Shaftesbury he often visited the picture perfect village of Milton Abbas, featured in the TV series To Serve Them All My Days (for those of us old enough to remember). The Series 1 Land Rover fits into the scene perfectly and he chose to paint it green as the original colours for the Land Rover were dictated by supplies of aircraft cockpit paint, therefore early vehicles only came in various shades of light green.

Artist Richard Watkin paints the evocative locations and landscapes of Dorset from the beaches and towns of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch to the dramatic Jurassic Coastline, picturesque Purbeck villages and country towns. He paints with acrylics in a bold graphical style, his travel print collection evokes a sense of nostalgia, a time when the pace of life was slower and the sun was always shinning!

Free Postage - We say to allow up to 7 working days for delivery but it is usually quicker. Smaller prints are sent in recycled board backed envelopes and wrapped in cellobags that can be put in your recycling bin. A2 prints will be sent wrapped in acid free tissue paper and rolled in a cardboard tube.

Paper - All our fine art prints are printed at home on 315gsm 100% acid free textured cotton paper. We use a 12 colour injet printer with pigment based inks which create vibrant colours of superior archival quality and a print life of more than 85 years.
