Hengistbury Head with Boat Original Painting (50 x 70cm)

Size Guide

What's the Story? An off chance visit to Mudeford Spit was the basis of this painting when Richard took some photos of a boat cruising down the River Stour. Rich did a lot of sailing when he was a teacher but never had the opportunity to sail a Scow, the boat originated in the 1920s as a sailing tender for larger cruising yachts, but over the years, has become popular as a single-handed sheltered water racing dinghy. He decided to place a mystery lady at the helm taking in the harbour views and paint the sail red to draw the eye into the painting.

Original - Original painting 50cm x 70cm. Acrylic on canvas. Varnished and ready to hang, painting wraps around the side/edge of the canvas therefore framing is optional.
