What's the Story? - Richard likes to experiment and push his artistic abilities, which is exactly what he did with this painting of an impending storm at Durdle Door on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The bold skyline and shadows create a dramatic scene and you can imagine yourself stood on the beach listening to the waves crashing and waiting for the storm to arrive.
Artist Richard Watkin paints the evocative locations and landscapes of Dorset from the beaches and towns of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch to the dramatic Jurassic Coastline and picturesque Purbeck villages. He paints with acrylics in a bold graphical style, his travel print collection evokes a sense of nostalgia, a time when the pace of life was slower and the sun was always shinning!
Richard paints with acrylics on a linen canvas and this piece is 70cm x 1000cm. Varnished and ready to hang the painting wraps around the side/edge of the canvas therefore framing is optional. The painting is signed and dated by Richard. If you would like to see the painting before you buy we are happy for you to visit the studio.
