What's the Story? - We had lots of requests for a painting of Downton after taking part in the villages Cuckoo Fair. Richard knew he had to include a cuckoo in the painting as traditionally the arrival of the cuckoo marked the onset of good weather, and the first year we took part the weather was glorious! The limited colour palette of brown and greys along with the war memorial and historic buildings give the painting a simplistic vintage feel.
Original - Original painting 50cm x 70cm. Acrylic on canvas. Varnished and ready to hang, painting wraps around the side/edge of the canvas therefore framing is optional.
