What's the story?
Richard had originally included a Sea Vixen in this painting, the reason being that the de Havilland Sea Vixen has a history with Christchurch construction wise. Judi felt the composition might look better without the plane. After asking friends and family their opinion the Sea Vixen had to go!
For those that do like the Vixen we did create a few prints, available here >
Prints - The prints are created from Richard's original painting, we print them ourselves using a method known as Giclėe, the paper is 100% cotton with a gentle texture. Your A4 or A3 print will arrive cello wrapped with a recycled cardboard backing ready for framing. The 50cm x 70cm print will arrive rolled in a large cardboard tube. Richard signs all prints.

Giclée Printing - this involves squirting or spraying microscopic dots of pigment based-inks onto high quality art paper (not as messy as it sounds!). The print is colour corrected to attain the closest possible match to the original artwork and will keep its vibrant colours for many years to come.
Paper - we use a natural soft textured bright white matt 315gsm paper for all prints. The paper's bright white base and gentle texture delivers a quality print with a wide colour gamut, it's 100% acid free and accredited by the Fine Art Trade Guild as being of archival quality.
Free delivery on all prints - We send the prints via myHermes or Royal Mail so you will be able to track your order and we will know they have been delivered safely!

What's the story? Richard first visited Chesil Beach in 1974 on an art field trip and loves the way there has been so little change since. The historical aspect of the area also appeals; the discovery of 20,000 sling stones collected from Chesil Beach and used to defend Maiden Castle from...
What's the story? An off chance visit to Mudeford Spit was the basis of this painting when Richard took some photos of a boat cruising down the River Stour. Rich did a lot of sailing when he was a teacher but never had the opportunity to sail a Scow, the boat originated in the...
What's the story? Dorset’s famous lost village, Tyneham on the Isle of Purbeck has an obvious attraction to an artist. In December 1943 225 residents left their homes as the village had been requisitioned as a military training area to prepare troops for D-day and the Battle of Normandy that followed....
