What's the Story?Richard was attracted to Branksome Dene beach primarily due to the 1930s building, originally the UK’s first solarium. The quirky interior described as ‘England’s first indoor beach’ included sand, deckchairs and sun lamps, enabling visitors to work on their tans whatever the weather. The photograph for the painting was taken on a cold wet winter's day when a visit to the solarium would have been most welcome!

Original - Original painting 50cm x 70cm. Acrylic on canvas. Varnished and ready to hang, painting wraps around the side/edge of the canvas therefore framing is optional.
