What's the Story? - The last Jurassic Coast painting (for now!) the historic village of Abbotsbury, this is the landscape of Thomas Hardy with St Catherine's Chapel in splendid isolation high on the hilltop overlooking Chesil Beach and the Isle of Portland. The barrel-vaulted 14th century chapel was built by the monks of the nearby Abbotsbury Abbey as a place of pilgrimage and retreat. Richard waited a long time to get the perfect shot of the chapel, which is often shrouded in mist, finally one day on our way home from West Bay on the coast road the light was right and he had his camera to hand, finally getting the picture he had been after.

Giclée Printing - this involves squirting or spraying microscopic dots of pigment based-inks onto high quality art paper (not as messy as it sounds!). The print is colour corrected to attain the closest possible match to the original artwork and will keep its vibrant colours for many years to come.
Paper - we use a natural soft textured bright white matt 315gsm paper for all prints. The paper's bright white base and gentle texture delivers a quality print with a wide colour gamut, it's 100% acid free and accredited by the Fine Art Trade Guild as being of archival quality.
Free delivery on all prints - We send the prints via myHermes or Royal Mail so you will be able to track your order and we will know they have been delivered safely!
What's the Story? - This is one of the final paintings for the Jurassic Coast collection. Not many people attempt the arduous walk from either Lulworth Cove or Tyneham to Mupe Bay and Flowers Barrow and we have to confess we didn't make it! Instead Richards inspiration was a photograph by Mark...
What's the Story? - Ringstead Bay on the Jurassic Coast is a well kept secret, a charming bay with pebble beach, clear water and views across Weymouth Bay to Portland. On the day we visited the seaweed washed up by the tide had dried to a crisp rich dark terracotta, contrasting perfectly...
What's the Story? - The coastline of the Golden Cap Estate is part of the Jurassic Coast, Britain's only natural World Heritage Site, the highest point on the South Coast, the views in all directions are spectacular on a clear day. Back in the 1960's Richard's family were frequent visitors to Charmouth, they...
What's the Story? Bridport is a small market town in West Dorset which lies around two miles inland from West Bay. We have driven through the town many times and Richard likes the community feel of the place with its Art Centre, individual shops and bustling market. He decided to focus...
