What's the story? - After a visit to Durlston Country Park, 2 miles up the hill from Swanage town centre, head south to Anvil Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse built from locally quarried stone was completed in 1881 and gives a clear line to the west from Portland Bill and to the east, guides vessels away from the Christchurch Ledge and leads them into the Solent. The light was originally illuminated by a paraffin vapour burner, and the fog signal was a small cannon giving a loud blast every five minutes. Automated in 1991. The lighthouse is now monitored and controlled from Trinity House’s Planning Centre in Harwich, Essex.
These are created from Richard's original painting, we print them ourselves using a method known as Giclėe, the paper is 100% cotton with a gentle texture. The A4 and A3 prints will arrive cello wrapped with a recycled cardboard backing ready for framing. A2 prints will be send rolled in a cardboard tube. Richard signs all prints.

Giclée Printing - this involves squirting or spraying microscopic dots of pigment based-inks onto high quality art paper (not as messy as it sounds!). The print is colour corrected to attain the closest possible match to the original artwork and will keep its vibrant colours for many years to come.
Paper - we use a natural soft textured bright white matt 315gsm paper. The paper's bright white base and gentle texture delivers a quality print with a wide colour gamut, it's 100% acid free and accredited by the Fine Art Trade Guild as being of archival quality.
Free delivery on all prints - We send the prints via myHermes so you will be able to track your order and we will know they have been delivered safely!
Visit the Studio - If you live nearby we are happy for you to come and collect your print or look at the full collection. Richard is always happy to discuss his work and will take on board any suggestions for future paintings!
