What's the story? - Featuring the Cathedral is an obvious choice for a painting of Salisbury, it has the tallest spire in Britain and the best preserved original 1215 Magna Carta manuscript. Less obvious is the Spitfire, however in 1940 the town became a major centre for manufacturing Spitfires, hidden in sheds, garages, back gardens, a bus depot and a hotel. With a workforce mainly made up of unskilled young girls, boys, women and a handful of engineers, 2000 Spitfires were built. Richard wanted a splash of red so included a MGTC which was first manufactured as soon as the war was over.
Prints and Posters - These are created from Richard's original painting, we print them ourselves using a method known as Giclėe, the paper is 100% cotton with a gentle texture. A4 and A3 prints will arrive cello wrapped with a recycled cardboard backing ready for framing. A2 prints will be send rolled in a cardboard tube. Richard signs all prints.

Giclée Printing - this involves squirting or spraying microscopic dots of pigment based-inks onto high quality art paper (not as messy as it sounds!). The print is colour corrected to attain the closest possible match to the original artwork and will keep its vibrant colours for many years to come.
Paper - we use a natural soft textured bright white matt 315gsm paper for all prints. The paper's bright white base and gentle texture delivers a quality print with a wide colour gamut, it's 100% acid free and accredited by the Fine Art Trade Guild as being of archival quality.

What's the story? - Lymington, Hampshire, is a bit of a favourite with the Watkin's. We have spent many a happy hour exploring the individual shops and alleyways.
