CANCELLED Wimborne Food and Drink Festival 21st October

Posted on September 05, 2017 by Richard Watkin

Thrilled to be in our hometown for this event. As in previous years, we are hoping for perfect autumnal weather on Saturday 21st October for the 2017 Wimborne Minster Food & Drink Festival. The town will be busy with traders, happy sponsors and, as always, thousands of hungry and thirsty visitors. We will be with the Anonymous Travelling Market in Willow Walk and will have prints, cards and our new calendar for sale.

There will be professional chef demonstrations in the Cornmarket from David Shepherd of La Fleur de Lys in Shaftesbury, Pete Murt from Rick Stein in Sandbanks, Sarah Ali, and new this year, Lisa Osman from the All Hallows Cookery School in Wimborne St Giles (see my blog about Lisa).

Our new sponsor, Wimborne's Dacombes of Leigh Road, will be running a competition on their High Street stall to win a Fortnum & Mason hamper, and Volvo will again be running their successful prize draw to win dinner for two at Rick Stein in Sandbanks plus a chauffeur driven Volvo.

Put the date in your diary and do arrive hungry and thirsty! See you then!

We have taken into consideration that you may not want to go to the expense of having your prints professionally framed (although they do look great when they are!) so have kept to standard sizes -

A4 Prints - 21cm x 29.7cm will fit 'off the shelf' A4 frames

A3 Prints - 29.7cm x 42cm will fit 'off the shelf' A3 frames, but check frame measurement first

50cm x 70cm Prints - 52cm x 72cm which includes a 2cm white border which can be altered if necessary to fit an 'off the shelf' frame

Calendars - These are A4 when folded, so easy to pop in the post as a pressie. Double A4 when opened and hanging.
