Russell-Cotes Christmas Fair 9th & 10th Dec

Posted on December 04, 2017 by Richard Watkin

Russell-Cotes Christmas Fair 9th and 10th December, 10am – 5pm. This is our first time here and we love this building, mainly because it houses one of Richard's favourite paintings, Albert Moore’s Pre-Raphaelite masterpiece Midsummer. Built by Merton Russell-Cotes as an extravagant birthday gift for his wife, Annie, the museum celebrates the couple’s passion for art and travel, world cultures and natural history. The fair is the perfect get away from the crowds on the high street and there promises to be a range of stalls selling festive wares and gifts from local suppliers.Warm up with some holiday refreshments in the café, enter the Christmas raffle, and make some festive crafts with the children. Admission to the Fair is free, suggested donation £1.
Normal charges apply to visit the historic house.Visitors to the historic house will enjoy the festive atmosphere, viewing the house decorated for a traditional Victorian Christmas.Father Christmas will also be making an appearance on both days, with gifts for children. Pre-booking is essential so that he knows what gifts to bring with him, please ring 01202 451820 for more details.

We have taken into consideration that you may not want to go to the expense of having your prints professionally framed (although they do look great when they are!) so have kept to standard sizes -

A4 Prints - 21cm x 29.7cm will fit 'off the shelf' A4 frames

A3 Prints - 29.7cm x 42cm will fit 'off the shelf' A3 frames, but check frame measurement first

50cm x 70cm Prints - 52cm x 72cm which includes a 2cm white border which can be altered if necessary to fit an 'off the shelf' frame

Calendars - These are A4 when folded, so easy to pop in the post as a pressie. Double A4 when opened and hanging.
