We took part for the first time last year and had such a good time we are going to be there again this year!
Well known for its family atmosphere there can be few more delightful places to hold a festival than on Mudefords Green overlooking Christchurch Harbour. The festival now in its ninth year is a major local community event.
There will be over 65 craft and art stalls displaying a wide range of locally made goods and paintings and up to 15 food outlets offering delights from roasts, vegetarian, pizzas, sandwiches, crepes, ice creams, coffee and cakes.
In the main marquee there will be an exhibition displaying a diverse selection of work, including, Poole Printmakers, paintings, photography, and ceramics and specially created children’s art. Artists will be there to draw your portrait or pet. You will see skilled craftspeople at work including a potter, wood-turner, beader and flower arranger.
The entertainment is mostly made up of local artists and groups; these include singing groups, a ukulele jam band, the Royal British Legion Christchurch band and belly dancers.
This year there is a special marquee for children’s art, craft and fun activities, story telling and a puppeteer on Sunday.
