Artist Richard Watkin paints the evocative locations and landscapes of Dorset from the beaches and towns of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch to the dramatic Jurassic Coastline and picturesque Purbeck villages. He paints with acrylics in a bold graphical style and his travel print collection evokes a sense of nostalgia, a time when the pace of life was slower and the sun was always shinning. Original paintings and signed fine art prints available.
Our fine art prints are printed by us in house on 315gsm textured 100% cotton matt fine art paper with pigment based inks. Each hand signed print shows the imperfect texture of the linen canvas, the brush strokes, the highlights and lowlights - after all nothing in life is perfect and we prefer things that way!

shop nowFine art print of the original painting of the Alum Chine RNLI lifeguard station. Part of the contemporary print collection by Dorset artist Richard Watkin. Inspired by the simplicity of the RNLI lifeguard station at Alum Chine beach, the exceptionally clean, sandy beach away from the hustle and bustle of central Bournemouth lends itself to the overall simplicity of the painting allowing the viewer to create their own narrative.

Beautiful work turned into fantastic quality prints and merchandise. Richard's book is stunning! The depth of colour is unbelievable and the quality of the images is just amazing, you can even see the texture of the linen canvas. Not forgetting the fantastic customer service from Judi too.
Thank you so much.
Hi Richard, we had only seen screen shots of the pictures on your website at the time of our order, however, they look absolutely fantastic in real life! We were stunned when we opened up the rolls, very happy with all of the pictures, really good to see the detail & love the quality, variety and choice of colours. You've got a great talent! Excellent packaging and service, much appreciated.

Dear Richard Thank you for the Mudeford print that arrived today. My parents used to take my brother and I every year and we stayed in a beach hut. I took my own children this weekend to visit (all hugely unchanged!) and your picture is the perfect reminder of somewhere special.
Kind regards Ally
